Welcome to Roth IRA Calculator ("we", "us" or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you visit rothiracalculator.wiki or use the Roth IRA Calculator homepage.
1. Browser-side calculations
The calculator is designed to process the values you enter in your browser. Age, filing status, modified AGI, taxable compensation, balances, contributions and assumptions are used to calculate the displayed estimate during the page session. The normal workflow does not require those values to be uploaded to a calculation server.
Local calculation is a design choice, not a guarantee about every browser, extension, network or third-party service on your device. Do not enter passwords, brokerage credentials, Social Security numbers or other information that the calculator does not need.
2. Information we may collect
- Technical information such as browser type, device category, operating system, language settings, referral information, timestamps and approximate region.
- IP addresses, cookie identifiers, online identifiers and similar technical identifiers processed by hosting, security, analytics or advertising providers.
- Usage and performance information such as pages visited, broad interaction events, error signals and load timing used to maintain the site.
- Support communications and the contact details or troubleshooting context that you choose to include in an email.
- Calculator inputs may remain in the current page session or browser state while the page is open. We do not intentionally place the values or calculator results in the URL.
We do not require an account for the basic calculator. If a future feature introduces accounts, payments, server-side storage or another materially different data flow, this policy should be updated before that feature is used.
3. How information is used
- Operate, maintain and improve the website and calculator.
- Measure general performance, accessibility, reliability and feature usage.
- Diagnose browser compatibility problems, broken layouts and calculation errors.
- Protect the site from abuse, spam, malicious traffic and security incidents.
- Respond to corrections, feedback and support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce applicable terms.
We use aggregate or limited technical signals to understand whether the site works as intended. We do not need to inspect the contents of a financial document to provide the ordinary calculator result because the page asks for planning inputs rather than document uploads.
4. Cookies, web beacons and Google products
The site may use necessary cookies, local browser storage or similar technologies for hosting, security, preferences, analytics and reliable page operation. We use Microsoft Clarity to understand general page usage, interaction patterns and performance so we can improve usability. Clarity and other analytics services may process page views, browser details, approximate region, referral source, session timing, interaction events, IP addresses and other online identifiers. Calculator inputs and results are marked for Clarity masking. You can control cookies through browser settings, although blocking some technologies may affect optional features or measurement accuracy.
When ads are served through Google AdSense or another Google advertising product, Google and third-party advertising partners may place or read cookies and may use web beacons, IP addresses, browser identifiers, device identifiers and other identifiers to serve, measure, limit or personalize advertising, subject to applicable settings, consent requirements and law. Google products may collect, use and share data according to their own notices. See Google's partner-sites data-use policy for information about data from sites and apps that use Google services.
5. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with hosting, security, analytics, email, advertising or legal service providers when needed to operate the website, measure performance, serve advertising, prevent abuse, respond to support requests or comply with law. Those providers may process information under their own terms and privacy notices.
We may disclose information when required by legal process, when needed to protect the site or its users, or if the website is transferred as part of a business transaction. We aim to limit each disclosure to information reasonably necessary for the stated purpose.
6. Retention and your choices
Calculator inputs are not intended to become a permanent server-side record through the normal page workflow. Technical logs, analytics records, cookie or identifier records and support communications may be retained for as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, troubleshooting, analytics and legal compliance; retention can vary by provider and record type.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain personal information. You may also be able to withdraw consent or control cookies and personalized advertising through browser or provider settings. Contact [email protected] for a request. We may need enough information to verify the request and locate the relevant records.
7. External links and policy changes
The site may link to IRS resources, browser documentation, standards, Google policy pages or other third-party sites. External services have their own privacy practices, terms and security controls, and we are not responsible for them.
We may update this Privacy Policy when the website changes its hosting, analytics, advertising, support workflow or calculator behavior. The effective date will identify the current version.
